ALL athletic event tickets for the 2023-2024 school year MUST be purchased digitally, paper tickets will no longer be available.

DEWITT ATHLETIC EVENTS:

Athletics are a part of the educational process of the district and an extension of the classroom, serving as an arena for learning.  As such, spectators are expected to embrace the concepts of education-based athletics by respecting the efforts of the coaches, opposing team, other spectators, and those men and women who officiate high school sports.  Failure to adhere to the spectator guidelines may result in immediate removal from a given contest/event as well as subsequent athletic events for a period of time.

For events held at DeWitt High School:

CAAC SPORTSMANSHIP MESSAGE:

Acceptable Behavior

• Applause during introduction of players, coaches and officials.
• Accept all decisions of officials.
• Applause at end of contest for performances of all participants.
• Show concern for an injured player, regardless of team.
• Encourage surrounding people to display only sportsmanlike conduct.

Unacceptable Behavior

• Singling out individuals on the opponents team.
• Disrespectful or derogatory yelling, chanting, singing or gesturing.
• Booing, heckling or displaying of extreme temper over an official’s or coach’s decision.
• Use of profanity or displays of anger that draw attention from the game.
• Deliberate shouting derogatory chants over the cheerleaders’ cheers.
